PearTune MSO Tuning e-bike Shimano EP8

Detailed product description:

PearTune is connected to the e-bike system with compatible and original connectors. The  MSO  does  not  need  to  be  configured  manually.  The  entire configuration and adaptation to the paticular e-bike is done automatically. The  MSO  is  connected  in  between  the  magnetic  speed  sensor  and  the motor  unit,  and  in  between  the  display and  the  motor  unit.  MSO  is powered from the display connector. All readings like actual speed, max speed, average speed, distance etc. are correctly displayed. The MSO is activated with LIGHT funkcion (in the case that you CONNECT the RED cable from PearTune MSO) OR automatically WITH ACTIVATION YOUR E-BIKE (in the case that you DON´T CONNECT the RED cable from PearTune MSO). Thanks to original connectors the e-bike tuning can be deinstalled without any signs and original Shimano diagnostics (highest level) did not find any signs of the device after removal.The only difference is that from the moment of installation you, not your bike, determine how fast you go. The maximum speed is limited only by the pedaling frequency.

Usage

The MSO can be activated or deactivated anytime by light control function of the bike menu. Refer to the bike manual.

Note that the light control function of the e-bike can be accessed with a diagnostic device or E-TUBE. Most workshops are equipped with these devices and can activate the lighting control. If the light control is not active, an alternative version of PearTune MSO can be used, which is automatically active when the wheel is switched on.

① Unscrew three screws marked by red ring and remove the plastic cover of the centerdrive. All necessarry cables and connectors are placed under this cover. Covers are provided in various shapes and colours and the cover may differ from the picture.

② Disconnect the connector between the motor unit and tacho sensor (marked by green arrow in the picture). Release the screw of positive (+) light clamp (marked by red arrow in the picture).

③ Connect the speed sensor to the MSO unit and the MSO unit to the motor unit using corresponding connectors. Connect red power cable to positive light clamp. Tighten the screw of the clamp.

④ Place the MSO in a proper position and optionally, fasten the wiring using the electrical ties. Re-attach the plastic cover and the bike is ready to go.
